Railyard Dog Park
The Fernie Pet Society manages the dog park under a service provider agreement with the City of Fernie. The Society provides an annual report to the City of Fernie detailing our past activities and new projects planned for the Park.

A 2023 survey asked respondents to rate several proposed projects to enhance the Railyard Dog Park for both people and dogs. View the survey results.
Spay & Neuter Incentive Program (SNIP)
This program is available throughout the Elk Vally, from Elco to Elkford, providing low-cost spay or neutering for cats. Preference is given to low-income families. The program also covers the full cost of surgical procedures for homeless or feral cats.
